Tour in Detail

Day 1: Hanoi - Duong Lam – Nghia Lo

After your breakfast in hotel, at 8:00, leaving Hanoi to North West Vietnam tour, driving follow national road number 32.

The first impression of this tour is Duong Lam(Ancient Village)which was recognised by Vietnam government, still reserved real values from the past, where ther are a lot of 300-400 year houses and several sacred temples.

Heading along Thao river with green rice paddies field and corn both sides to at the end of Phu Tho land to have lunch After resting time, continue to Yen Bai and Yen Chan where wonderful mountain landscape and imposing rice terraced fields creating from local friendly minorities waiting for you

After 200km driving, about 5pm arriving Nghia Lo, great time for walking and taking photos of Muong Lo known as the third biggest rice paddy field in North West Vietnam Dinner and overnight in hotel in Nghia Lo

Day 2: Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen

After breakfast in local restaurant, leaving Nghia Lo to Tu Le where you can enjoy and learn how Thai minority (they come from Thailand, they have habit to cultivate rice and make their house near stream and small river, your guide will explain why, and how they live) make new moon sticky rice, also walk through their village

Admiring the spectacular rice terraced fields along the way to Mu Cang Chai, which recognized by Vietnam government to rice terraced fields reserve area and have contact with such friendly local untouched tourist ethnic as Black Thai, H’mong, Dzao…

Having lunch with local food which is not so good like other places, sorry we are in real remote mountain area, Keep on to Than Uyen, another distance path with amazing mountain sightseeing

Today it is not long day, 150km driving distance but you should be sure your camera memory to be enough space thanks to the most famous and beautiful for rice terrace field and mountain trail in the North West Vietnam

Day 3: Than Uyen - Hoang Lien Nation Park - Sapa

Having breakfast in hotel, walk with your guide to the local market to choose your favor food for picnic lunch, then we set off to Tan Uyen where you can have a small walk along the tea plantation from the local people

Keep on driving to have fantastic view of mountain trail like a python in Haven gate(Tram Ton Pass) at the hight of 2200m above sea level

Enjoy walking inside Hoang Lien national park to Golden Stream and Love Waterfall to have picnic lunch with nature of tropical forest 16km driving further that will be Sapa town at the height of 1650m altitude, stop along the way to visit Silver waterfall – one of the biggest waterfalls in Sapa or North West Vietnam

Have dinner and stay overnight in Sapa town, also discover this town yourself

Day 4: Sapa - Muong Hoa Valley

Today, you will have special day to admire the imposing landscape of Muong Hoa Valley the foot of Hoang Lien Son green mountain range dotting with houses of local minorities

After having breakfast in the hotel, take a drive to Y Linh Ho where we start trekking up and down through rice terraced fields to Lao Chai where Black H’mong people(they came from China more than 300 year ago) live , take time to take photos, discover and learn about their culture and traditional habit

Continue your trek to Tavan village, location of Dzay ethnic minority and have lunch while enjoy the folklore dancing music performance

After leisure time, keep on trekking through bamboo tropical forest toward Giang Ta Chai waterfall and Red Dzao minority, then up to car meeting and back Sapa town, stop in Sapa ancient description stones to know about ethnic original

Have dinner and stay second night in Sapa

Day 5: SaPa - Bac Ha Sunday Market

After breakfast, leaving Sapa town, set off on our scenic drive through the border town of Lao Cai, and stop here to take photos of border line between Vietnam and China

Continue to the colorful Sunday colorful market at Bac Ha mountain town, also attracts a wide variety of ethnic minority groups including Hmong, Dao, Phu La, La Chi and Tay…who still retain their old cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their dress

After having lunch here, we enjoy walking around Ban Pho village of Flower H’mong minority about 2 hours where the villagers make the potent local maize alcohol, visiting Hoang A Tuong Palace -the Hmong Kings former residence.

Day 6: Bac Ha town - Hanoi

The return journey begins as we depart Bac Ha town and pass through the verdant and rugged mountain scenery to Hanoi.

These back roads are a great way to explore the real Vietnam. We see very few other tourists, mostly rural dwellers who are just as interested in finding out about our lives as we are of theirs. The drive is very long, but we can make many stops along the way to stretch our legs and take some wonderful photographs.

After lunch in Viet Tri town and head back Hanoi, your northwest private tour ends at your hotel
