Visit the highlands of Vietnam's Mai Chau region and see the natural beauty of jungle-clad limestone mountains, patchwork quilts of green rice fields, tea plantations and waterfalls all dotted along the landscape. FULL ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau
Upon arrival check into Mai Chau Lodge and enjoy the lodge’s facilities.
Day 2: Mai Chau - Hang Kia VillageThis morning cycle around the surrounding the low lying villages and wave to the locals out in the fields. After lunch, drive to the H’mong village of Sa Linh and take a three hour hike along jungle paths to Hang Kia village, where you will stay overnight with a local family.
Day 3: Hang Kia - Van VillageToday get off the beaten track as you trek through tropical rainforest, using local tracks and passing through cornfields as you descend into the valley of Mai Chau. Late in the afternoon arrive at Van village and spend the night in a traditional house. Enjoy dinner with your host family and afterwards try some of the local homemade rice wine!
Day 4: Van Village - Mai Chau LodgeTrek this morning to Xam Khoe village for a quick chat and where a vehicle will transport you to Mai Chau Lodge. Relax with a swim in the pool or take a enjoy the Jacuzzi.
