Experience another side of central Vietnam with a sailing and cycling tour to countryside villages and craft communities. Pedal through idyllic Quang Nam Province, passing emerald rice paddies and quaint rural villages and stopping to visit handicraft communities. Learn how rice paper and sleeping mats are made before getting an in-depth look at ship-making at the historic boat village of Kim Bong.

This morning cycle 15 minutes out of Hoi An where you will board a small boat for a 35 minute cruise along the tranquil waterways of Quang Nam Province. Jump back onto the saddle and peddle your way through the green paddy fields and villages, stopping at traditional handicraft villages along the way where you can still see local craftsmen producing rice paper and sleeping mats.

In the 16th Century Hoi An served as Vietnam’s major trading hub, attracting merchants from around the world. Visit the local boat making village of Kim Bong and hear the story of traditional Vietnamese seamanship, before cycling back to Hoi An in the early afternoon.
