Leave your worries behind and relax with a beach break at Phan Thiet. This little piece of paradise is only four hours from Ho Chi Minh City, with golden sandy beaches and palm fringed coastline. Go surfing down the sand dunes, swim in the sea or cycle the country lanes. You can do as much or as little as you want.
FULL ITINERARY:
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Phan ThietDrive about 4 hours northeast from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet to start your beach break. Phan Thiet has an interesting history and was once at the heart of the Vietnam War, but those days are long gone. Today it’s a hub to explore the city centre with its impressive flag tower and brightly coloured fishing boats bobbing in the harbor. You will be staying right on the beach at the Victoria Phan Thiet Resort and Spa, gorgeous colonial inspired boutique hotel. If flop and drop is not your style the resort has great recreational facilities. Play a game of tennis, swim in the infinity pool or take a pony ride along the beach.
Day 2: Phan ThietThe next two days are yours to spend entirely as you please. Grab one of the resort’s bicycles and explore the town and country roads, or jump in a jeep for a giant sand dune adventure. If all that tires you out, relax with a massage or treatment at the spa! And of course you don’t forget to enjoy cocktails and seafood by the sea!
Day 3: Phan ThietTake a trip out to the Ke Ga Lighthouse built by the French in 1899 and climb the steps to the top for panoramic views all round. Or enjoy a day out in the nearby Ta Kuo nature reserve to visit an ancient pagoda that houses Vietnam’s largest reclining Buddha at 49m long!
Day 4: Phan Thiet – Ho Chi Minh City It’s your last chance for a dip in the sea before returning to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.
