Along the mountain trail of North East or North West Vietnam, there are some natural reserves out of tourist radar as Ta Xua and Xuan Nha where tourist can have great time deep into the nature, and these are well known for touring in the North of Vietnam as Hoang Lien and Ba Be national park, still keep its own green beauty.

Ta Xua natural reserve in Bac Yen Son La province, is quite similar to the temperate zone forest, at the top over then 2500m above sea level, the great flora here with the big trees as maple with the leaf from 3 to 7 branches, catuspinut, chestnut, some of them from 3 to 5 people can hold the tree. The trek through the primitive jungle to the peak is still very difficult and not jet popular for foreigner tourist, only for Vietnamese tourist called as Phuot coming and camping here. But through the main road by driving we can feel the imposing landscape of nature here, when we come here feeling touching the sky, sometime the cloud will come and disappear.
In the same province, there is another natural reserve, considering temperate zone jungle as Xuan Nha is home of Cephalotaxus , Amentotaxus, Amentotaxus yunnanensis, Amentotaxus argroteania Pilger …some of trees at hight of 25m, in the Vietnam red book, with the peak at the hight of 1635m and have borderline with Laos, with the support from PaNature to have project to protect and research area

Before becoming the national park in 2002m, Hoang Lien recognized as national reserve in 1996, belong to Hoang Lien Son mountain trail massive ranger, Hoang Lien national park located in two provinces Lai Chau, and mainly in Lao Cai province with highest mountain peak Fansipan at the height of 3143m as the roof on Indochina. With rich diversification of flora and fauna, 66 of them list in the Vietnam red book, and the main primitive jungle mingle with villages of minorities, so it creates wonderful mountain trek for tourist, moreover the climate is average 18 to 22 degree as health resort. That why a lot of tourist take at least two or three days in Sapa to enjoy the mountain jungle atmosphere beside two nights on the train from Hanoi and back.
Ba Be located in Bac Can province was considered as national park in 1992, this is only one park having biggest natural lakes in Vietnam, centering of the natural park with 8km long and 800m wide, surrounding area and above with marble stone with rich flora about 1.281 family, 672 of them was written in Vietnam and over the world red book, also with diversification of fauna with 81 kind of beast animal and 322 kinds of birds, especially, this park is the home of Trachypithecus francoisi and Hemigalus owstoni endangered animal all over the world, with all of the reason, this park was considered as green pearl of eco nature.
