On arriving in Hanoi, you still wonder where and how to go around Hanoi city, can see some suggestion and travel your own way and suitable for your hobby to most attractive destination.

Travel Note: Hanoi is the center of Vietnam for religion, culture, history… if you want to visit Ho Chi Minh mausoleum complex, temples and pagoda, please take on long clothes or at least over knees, you should not wear short one, with my experience for attraction inside Hanoi center city, we wear long clothes to show the respect.

+ What attractive destination to visit
On the outskirt of Hanoi, there are some famous tourist handicraft villages with fine arts variety and not so far from Hanoi center as Chuong conical hat 30km, Bat Trang ceramics 13km, Le mat Snake 7km, Dong Ky carving wood 20km, also some other are attractive traditional villages out of tourism radar, waiting for booming tourist as Duyen Thai Lacquer ware 25km, Ninh So rattan bamboo fine art 20km, coming to all of these villages we can see the process to make product and understanding the traditional fine arts way.
Besides of that, the ancient village attraction in Hanoi is worth to go to see the old life style of Hanoi as Duong Lam 45km, with two kings and hundred house of style from 3 or 4 hundred year old, Cuu old French architecture 32km, with many French style villas was built from 1920 -1945.

Perfume pagoda 60km, the complex of temples, pagodas, mountains, stream that make the great photos of the fen-shei nature landscape, Thay and Tay Phuong pagoda is the great combination of religion and the lifestyle in the country side of red river delta.
Inside of Hanoi center city, the attractive sight including all element concerning of tourist as national hero, culture, religion, French and American war, typical architecture, yes, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum complex – French quarter then to sights including one of these Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son temple and Hoan Kiem lake, Quan Thanh temple and Tran Quoc pagoda on the bank of West lake, Vietnam military museum, Vietnamese history museum, Vietnam Ethnic minorities museum,… then shopping , Old Quarter, Dong Xuan market.

+ What travel style
Most tourist think about the traditional way, yes, walking that will be more convenient to see most attractive destination inside Hanoi city, understand the oriental life style with typical from Hanoi.
Cyclo – vehicle has three wheels and driver that could be more classic easier way to wonder around Hanoi, we do not close our eyes when we cross the crowded streets, just take a seat in old way to see the daily life of local people.
Cycle – that will be adventure way, not only to see inside the city, also to the outskirt of Hanoi.
Motobike without driver can enjoy the adventure way as cycling, with driver – Xe Om, that should do inside Hanoi center city.
Taxi is also means of transport or can book car company or from your hotel or local tour operator in Hanoi .

+ What kind of food and drinks should try
With depth in Vietnamese culture, food in Hanoi is various and was considered as food arts, you can try inside the restaurant or on the street, which depends on your habit and style as Pho – Noodle soup, Bun Cha – Grilled pork with vermicelli, Cha Ca - Grilled minced fish, Nem or Pho Cuon – Spring roll or Fresh spring roll… Vietnamese tea, if you drink three cup per day it can prevent the cancer, it is too bitter if you want strong tea, coffee you should try with milk or black one that will be too strong if you are not coffee drink habitual people.

+ Budget package and Time duration
To tourist attractive destination inside Hanoi city can take one day, the outskirt ancient handicraft villages one more day.
If you are limit budget package and length time in Hanoi, you can try walking around Hanoi center city one day or two days then to outskirt Hanoi around two days for tourist like adventure and stay where they come as backpacker.
Or with average budget but like adventure way, can walk around most destination in Hanoi then take cycle for rent then cycling around outskirt of Hanoi to ancient handicraft villages or perfume pagoda around 3 days.
Or with good budget package and long duration can book tours for Hanoi city tours 1 day, then combination Handicraft ancient villages and perfume pagoda with easy cycling 2 days.

+ Best time to visit
As other destination in the north of Vietnam, the best time to take tour  is the autumn
